The next tip I have for you is to keep a balanced diet. Don't eat too many unhealthy things. Steer clear of fast food joints, as these places are the breeding grounds for people who can't jump high. If you stay away from fattening foods, you will see enormous improvements in your jump. This is often very difficult for people, but if you follow through and don't give in to your cravings for food, you will see amazing results.

On that same note, drink plenty of water. One of the things that pains me the most is to see athletes finish working out, and then go open up a can of soda pop. Stay far away from sugary drinks like these! They only slow you down and make you sluggish. If you really want to jump higher, you will avoid drinking sodas.

Furthermore, stay as far away as you can from those evil energy drinks. I call them evil because that is all they are. They may seem like they are a big help, but really they are just destroying you. They destroy athlete's bodies, and I would hate if that were to happen to you. Stay away from those 5-hour energy boosts. They are packed full of harmful chemicals that are incredibly bad for you. Instead, just stick to water. Energy drinks will absolutely not help you improve the height of your vertical jump.

Now that you have a steady diet going for you, the next thing you need to do is find a good workout program. Don't be scared of paying money for a program - the return you're going to get from this investment is going to be huge. Be sure to look at customer reviews before purchasing a product, as some of them are not the best quality. For someone in your shoes, looking to improve the height of your jump, I would suggest a program that has plyometrics. This is going to be the best thing for your jumping, and will give you some great results.

The final suggestion I would make is to give it one-hundred percent. If you only do your workouts half-way, or only follow your diet fifty percent, you are only going to get about half the results that you could have potentially received. If you push and give it your all, you will find that you will obtain a jump that you never thought you could have. Remember, you can accomplish great things through hard work and dedication.
