Conférence PlayStation 4 : Le résumé et la VOD

Vous n'avez pas pu suivre la présentation de la PlayStation 4 de ce soir ? Eh bien qu'à cela ne tienne, voici la VOD de cette conférence qui a duré 2 heures ainsi qu'un résumé texte !

Comme on pouvait l'imaginer, la PS4 a donc été présentée et outreune date de sortie faisant état d'un "Holiday 2013" (comprenez grosso modo entre novembre 2013 et février 2014), quelques caractéristiques techniques ont été confirmées. Ainsi, la machine profitera d'un processeur x86 et d'une architecture proche du PC. De plus, la bête disposera de 8 Go de RAM. Pour ce qui est du pad, ici aussi, les rumeurs disaient vraies puisque la manette proposera une surface tactile, un micro et un bouton Partager afin d'uploader des images ou des extraits. A ce sujet, notez qu'il sera possible de streamer ses parties en direct.

Toujours dans l'optique de proposer une expérience de jeu la plus sociable possible, vous pourrez faire en sorte que des amis prennent directement le contrôle d'une de vos parties afin de vous aider. Bien entendu, vous pourrez également faire la même chose avec le jeu d'un pote. De plus, notez que le systèmeRemote Play permettra de jouer aux jeux PS4 sur votre PlayStation Vita. On notera également que plusieurs interactions entre la console, les smartphones et les tablettes tactiles seront à l'ordre du jour. On espère toutefois avoir plus d'informations à ce sujet d'ici peu.

Pour ce qui est des jeux, outre un service Cloud qui progressivement permettra d'accéder aux titres PS1 / PS2 et PS3 (ce qui confirme donc plus ou moins qu'il n'y aura pas de rétrocompatibilité avec cette dernière), précisons qu'il sera permis de jouer à un jeu avant que le téléchargement de celui-ci ne soit terminé, à l'image de ce que propose déjà Blizzard sur PC. En restant dans le Cloud, sachez que vous pourrez avoir accès à des démos sans avoir à les télécharger. On apprend aussi qu'en fonction des achats et des goûts du joueur, certains titres seront automatiquement téléchargés et jouables directement après leur acquisition, le but étant évidemment de limiter le temps d'attente, mais également de proposer du contenu personnalisé à chaque utilisateur.

Concernant les jeux présentés ou teasés, on notera l'annonce du prochain Killzone qui se nommera Killzone : Shadow Fall, un nouvel épisode de inFamous du nom de inFamous : Second Sonou bien encore un certain Drive Club développé par la société Evolution (MotorStorm). Ensuite, en parallèle de The Witness(nouveau jeu des papas de Braid), Capcom a annoncé qu'il développait un nouveau RPG / action répondant au sobriquet deDeep Down. Outre un nouvel épisode de Final Fantasy (qui devrait être présenté au prochain E3) annoncé par Square Enix, Blizzard a confirmé l'arrivée de Diablo III sur PS3 et PS4. Notez également que le prochain titre de Bungie, Destiny, aura droit à du contenu exclusif sur PS4. Enfin, sachez que l'indémodable et très chauve David Cage (le papa de l'émotion vidéoludique) a annoncé qu'il travaillait sur un nouveau moteur graphique pour la machine de Sony. Si rien d'autre n'a été annoncé, on peut toutefois supposer qu'un titre de Quantic Dream en profitera d'ici quelque temps.

De loin, la manette PS4 reprend le design classique des padsPlayStation tel qu'on les connaît. D'ailleurs, ce n'est pas pour rien qu'il est baptisé DualShock 4. Plusieurs nouveautés sont pourtant à noter, à commencer par un petit pavé tactile au centre pour offrir de nouvelles interactions avec les jeux. A sa droite, un bouton Options remplace le duo Start et Select pour lancer les menus des jeux. Le bouton Share permet quant à lui d'accéder aux fonctions sociales mises en avant par Sony. Il sera par exemple possible de streamer directement sa partie avec d'autres joueurs qui auront alors la possibilité de vous aider dans le jeu en offrant des potions de vie ou des armes spéciales en cas de besoin. Facebook, Ustream et d'autres seront donc à portée de pouce pour partager son expérience de jeu en temps réel.

Parmi les autres nouveautés, nous pouvons noter la forme de padsqui adoptent un format plus ergonomique. Même chose pour les touches L2 et R2 qui se trouvent légèrement creusées pour une meilleure prise en main. Un haut-parleur est aussi ajouté au DualShock 4, avec aussi une prise pour brancher un casque directement sur le pad. Un micro-casque sera d'ailleurs livré d'office pour permettre aux joueurs de discuter entre eux.

Enfin, il ne vous aura pas échappé qu'une barre lumineuse se trouve sur la tranche supérieure de la manette. Celle-ci servira à plusieurs choses. Tout d'abord à identifier les différents joueurs de façon plus conviviale durant les parties multi. Comme pour le Move, chacun aura sa couleur. La barre pourra également servir à délivrer des informations, par exemple une baisse de santé pendant un jeu. Bien sûr, elle sera aussi mise au service du contrôle de mouvements en association avec la nouvelle caméra de Sony, ou plutôt de la nouvelle double caméra de Sony. Le PlayStation Eye sera en effet remplacé par une barre rappelant évidemment Kinect de Microsoft. Cette double caméra pourra suivre avec précision vos mouvements, les contrôleurs Move étant d'ailleurs aussi reconnus.

Do you believe that people from different faiths can be friends? I do, absolutely. In fact, if you exclude making friends based on beliefs, you may be missing out on some great experiences and denying someone the gifts you have to offer.

I have a friend I met while working through a temporary agency twenty years ago. I'm naturally curious and enjoy meeting people from other countries. I have to know their whole life story.

My friend was from Viet Nam. I asked him to share his story with me. It was like nothing I've had to endure. The first time our family went to his house for dinner, my kids were nervous. He had brought the food to the table where he was going to entertain us. the kids saw raw meat and whispered to me, "Do we have to eat it? What if we don't like it?" I whispered back, "Just try a bite and say thank you."

Well, he started laughing and said, "You should see the looks on your faces. Did you think I was going to make you eat raw meat?" We all laughed. He put on a cooking show just like in the restaurants. The entree was similar to a burrito rolled up in something like rice paper. The kids loved it and asked for seconds and thirds.

At Easter, I asked if I could give his kids Easter baskets. He said yes. When I gave a concert at my church, I asked if his kids could wear their traditional outfits for one of the songs I was doing with all the kids. I was wanting to find multicultural costumes. The kids from church who showed up didn't have multicultural costumes but showed up in their Halloween costumes. I am very easy going so I just chuckled and we did our song.

I introduced my friend to a man who had been a missionary and ambassador to Viet Nam. It was very touching.

My friend was Buddhist and we were Christian. I am thankful to have known him. He was a loyal friend and the most patriotic citizen. Hopefully, we've blessed each others' lives and are better people for it.

Another man I met on the airplane was from the Middle East. You know me, I asked to hear his story. It was amazing. We exchanged contact information. I sent him my books and CD and he sent me a beautiful set of cups. He was Muslim. There was nothing inappropriate and we weren't looking for a date. He was just an elderly man with an interesting story. I told him my story as well. It was really fun sharing our stories.

Most likely, when you meet someone from another country, you may have different faith backgrounds and cultures. We don't have to convert each other at that moment but we can share and make a connection that can last a lifetime

What Is The Secret of Life?

The question isn't, "Is there life after death."

Rather, the question is: "Are you alive before death."

Some folks say that Jesus is the secret of life, others say
that Buddha is, others say that Mohammed is. For just about
every religious sect, they have as the basis of their religion
a central figure which they claim is the secret of life.

And, as a side note, if these religions didn't believe that the
main character behind the religion weren't the secret, then
why would anyone even bother believing in them anyway?

Science has claimed the secret of life to be DNA.

In her song of the same title, Faith Hill sang:

The secret of life is a good cup of coffee

The secret of life is keep your eye on the ball

The secret of life is a beautiful woman

But if there really is a true secret of life, then shouldn't

It's that you should believe in you as being all that is life.

It's the exact same for every creature on this earth. It
never changes, indeed, it cannot. It's the same for all
races and for all ages.

The secret of life is never to be found external to oneself,
if you're looking outside yourself, you're looking in

And that's great news. You have your entire life ahead of

replayed or re-done again. You have your future. You have
